Weekly Report (Feb 23–Mar 1, 2026)

Hey everyone! I’ve been digging through the TCGPlayer numbers for the week of February 23 to March 1, 2026, and it was a massive one for the marketplace. We saw a total item revenue of $989,366.92 across 8,836 units sold. While the median price change across the 76 products we tracked was a tiny -0.36%, there was plenty of movement under the surface, especially with some of the newer Universes Beyond sets.

Weekly Market Pulse

It was a high-volume week dominated by pre-orders and recent releases. We saw 7,298 total orders hit the books, and while the broader market felt stable, supply shifts for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Lord of the Rings products really dictated the pace. A few items showed massive price jumps, but I have to put a disclaimer on the biggest “winner”—we’re seeing some data artifacts that suggest we should take those top-line percentages with a grain of salt.

Top Gainers

The Universes Beyond Fallout Hail Caesar Commander Deck technically led the pack with a price move of +22.47% (VWAP $61.35 -> $75.13). However, I’m calling this out as a low-confidence move; our data flags show this as a probable data artifact with low supply coverage, so don’t be surprised if that price isn’t sustainable.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Bundle saw a much more “real” climb of +11.74% (VWAP $64.77 -> $72.37). This was driven by a significant supply drop of -56.86% (avg qty 94.7 -> 40.9), showing that as boxes left the shelves, the remaining listings commanded a premium.

A few other notable moves from the week:

  • The Lost Caverns of Ixalan Ahoy Mateys Commander Deck: Up +7.87% (VWAP $30.90 -> $33.33) with a sell-through rate of 0.2689.
  • Modern Horizons 3 Eldrazi Incursion Commander Deck: Gained +6.83% (VWAP $89.95 -> $96.09) as weekly units sold rose from 33 to 43.
  • FINAL FANTASY Chocobo Bundle: Rose +5.26% (VWAP $170.41 -> $179.37) despite units sold dropping from 86 to 50.

Top Decliners

The Lord of the Rings sets saw some downward pressure this week. The Lord of the Rings Tales of Middle earth Commander Decks Set of 4 dropped -15.51% (VWAP $252.60 -> $213.42). This coincided with a significant supply jump of +134.53% (avg qty 31.9 -> 74.7), suggesting that more inventory hitting the market pushed prices down.

Similarly, the Lord of the Rings Elven Council Commander Deck fell -15.04% (VWAP $63.01 -> $53.53). Interestingly, the volume on this deck was huge, with 262 units moving this week compared to just 23 last week.

Other significant dips:

  • Lorwyn Eclipsed Prerelease Pack: Down -11.97% (VWAP $33.38 -> $29.39) as average supply qty fell -28.65% (221.4 -> 158.0).
  • TMNT Prerelease Pack: Declined -7.22% (VWAP $35.47 -> $32.90). Even with the price dip, the volume was staggering at 1,048 units sold.
  • Avatar: The Last Airbender Bundle: Slipped -5.79% (VWAP $57.13 -> $53.82).

Supply and Velocity Read-Through

The “supply tightening” story of the week is definitely the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pizza Bundle. We saw a supply qty delta of -49.84% (avg qty 398.4 -> 199.9), which is a massive inventory drain. Even with that much supply exiting the market, the price remained almost perfectly flat, moving only -0.91% (VWAP $140.47 -> $139.19).

Another one to watch is the Phyrexia: All Will Be One Set Booster Display. It saw supply tighten by -39.06% (avg qty 60.7 -> 37.0), which helped push the price up slightly by +2.76% (VWAP $164.22 -> $168.75).

Velocity-wise, the TMNT Collector Booster Display is moving incredibly fast. It posted a sell-through rate of 6.0 this week, even as the average number of sellers dropped -30.23% (18.4 -> 12.9).

What to Watch Next Week

Keep a close eye on the TMNT Commander Deck Turtle Power. It had a massive sell-through rate of 4.686 this week and a supply drop of -21.98% (avg qty 464.7 -> 362.6). If that demand keeps up while sellers continue to drop (down -9.86% this week), we might see that -3.76% price dip reverse quickly. Also, watch the Universes Beyond: Fallout products; with multiple items flagged for data artifacts and low supply coverage, we expect some price volatility as the data stabilizes.

Calculation Notes & Disclaimers

  • Metrics are based on MTGsold internal sales/listing snapshots for the report window only.
  • avg qty = average of daily inventory (most complete scrape per day, by seller coverage), not a sum of all intraday listings.
  • sell-through = units sold this week / avg qty this week; values above 1 indicate inventory turned over multiple times.
  • Percentage changes are week-over-week versus the prior-week baseline; very small baselines can exaggerate % moves.
  • Listings are marketplace snapshots and may include relists, temporary removals, and scrape gaps, so flagged low-confidence moves should be treated cautiously.
  • Marketplace sections are segmented to avoid cross-stream blending of metrics.
  • This report is filtered to marketplace: tcgplayer.

Catch you next week!
