Weekly Report (Mar 16–22, 2026)

We just wrapped up another week of tracking the secondary market, and the biggest mover in terms of raw movement was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Commander Deck Turtle Power, which held nearly flat at a VWAP of $55.16 -> $55.17 (+0.01%). While the price didn’t move much, the activity was significant, making it the highest-unit-volume product this week with 325 units sold.

Before we get into the rest of the numbers, if you missed it, we also announced HippoLink, a new inventory management tool for local game stores built by the same folks behind MTGJSON and MTGStocks.

Weekly Market Pulse

Looking at the broader TCGPlayer landscape between March 16 and March 22, we tracked 72 products that met our minimum activity thresholds. Collectively, these items moved 5,105 units for a total item revenue of $674,682.36. The median price change across the board was effectively zero at -0.01%, but that hides a lot of action under the surface.

Commander products continue to dominate the conversation; 6 of the top 12 gainers this week were Commander precons. While volume was centered on the turtles, the revenue leader was actually the Secret of Strixhaven Collector Booster Display, which brought in $58,058.71 despite a slight price softening. Overall, the average weekly supply for Commander precons expanded by 14.88% this week.

Top Gainers

TCGPlayer: FINAL FANTASY Commander Deck FINAL FANTASY VI Revival Trance This was our max gainer for the week, seeing its price climb +13.09% (VWAP $34.24 -> $38.72). This move happened even as average weekly supply grew slightly by 4.43% (avg qty 190.4 -> 198.9). With 37 units sold, the demand is clearly outstripping the new listings.

TCGPlayer: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Draft Night We saw a solid +11.34% jump here (VWAP $75.44 -> $84.00). Sellers seem to be anticipating interest, as the weekly average supply rose 29.42% (122.9 -> 159.0) alongside the price hike.

TCGPlayer: FINAL FANTASY Commander Deck FINAL FANTASY X Counter Blitz The price for this deck rose +9.83% (VWAP $47.31 -> $51.96). This is a classic supply-side story, as average weekly supply contracted -4.13% (145.3 -> 139.3) while sellers moved 43 units.

TCGPlayer: Edge of Eternities Collector Booster Display High-end boxes are still showing strength. This display climbed +8.07% (VWAP $490.86 -> $530.45). The sell-through remains high at 0.6914, suggesting that even at over $500, these displays are moving quickly relative to the average weekly supply of 34.7 units.

TCGPlayer: Mystery Booster 2 Booster Display This product posted a +4.9% gain (VWAP $321.57 -> $337.34), but I have to flag this with low confidence. This entry is marked with a probable data artifact and low supply coverage, so take the percentage move with a grain of salt.

Top Decliners

TCGPlayer: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pizza Bundle The Pizza Bundle took the biggest hit this week, falling -10.17% (VWAP $174.01 -> $156.32). This drop correlates with a significant increase in average weekly supply, which grew 37.24% (avg qty 75.6 -> 103.7).

TCGPlayer: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Bundle The standard bundle followed a similar path, declining -10.14% (VWAP $59.43 -> $53.41). We saw a major influx of inventory here, with weekly average supply jumping 49.29% (avg qty 150.1 -> 224.1).

TCGPlayer: Avatar: The Last Airbender Jumpstart Booster Display This display saw its price slide -8.45% (VWAP $85.47 -> $78.24). Despite the price drop, sell-through improved to 0.3647 as 87 units were picked up by buyers looking for a better entry point.

Supply & Velocity Read-Through

We are seeing some major inventory shifts this week that look like broad restocks. The largest supply increase belonged to the Phyrexia All Will Be One Set Booster Display, which saw average weekly supply jump +70.39% (avg qty 33.3 -> 56.7). Close behind was The Lost Caverns of Ixalan Commander Deck Veloci Ramp Tor, which experienced a +63.17% supply increase (avg qty 85.7 -> 139.9). Because these moves were corroborated by a significant increase in seller diversity, we’re viewing these as broad restocks rather than simple one-day spikes.

On the other hand, the FINAL FANTASY Commander Deck FINAL FANTASY VII Limit Break saw the most dramatic contraction. Its average weekly supply fell from 226.6 to 126.4, a -44.2% drop. Interestingly, its price only rose +5.58% (VWAP $54.67 -> $57.72) during that period, suggesting the market hasn’t fully reacted to the thinning inventory yet.

We also noticed some low-confidence data for the Universes Beyond Fallout Hail Caesar Commander Deck. It showed a +6.07% price increase (VWAP $83.48 -> $88.55), but due to low coverage and probable data artifacts, it’s hard to say if this represents a real market trend.

What to Watch Next Week

Keep a close eye on the FINAL FANTASY Commander Deck FINAL FANTASY VII Limit Break. The supply contraction of -44.2% is the sharpest we’ve seen this week, and usually, price follows inventory. If the current sell-through of 0.2847 holds or increases, we might see the +5.58% gain accelerate.

Also, watch the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Prerelease Pack. It currently shows a probable restock signal with a +61.94% jump in average weekly supply (426.4 -> 690.6). Despite that massive supply increase, its price stayed resilient, rising +1.09% (VWAP $28.46 -> $28.77). If the demand eats through that new supply, it could be a sign of long-term stability for the set.

Calculation Notes & Disclaimers

Metrics in this report are based on a filtered set of 72 products meeting minimum sales and order thresholds. “Average weekly supply” represents the mean of daily listing snapshots, not total unique inventory. Percentages are calculated from the provided decimal deltas (e.g., 0.1309 = 13.09%).

Until next time, happy trading.

Calculation Notes & Disclaimers

  • Metrics are based on MTGsold internal sales/listing snapshots for the report window only.
  • avg qty = average of daily inventory (most complete scrape per day, by seller coverage), not a sum of all intraday listings.
  • sell-through = units sold this week / avg qty this week; values above 1 indicate inventory turned over multiple times.
  • Percentage changes are week-over-week versus the prior-week baseline; very small baselines can exaggerate % moves.
  • Listings are marketplace snapshots and may include relists, temporary removals, and scrape gaps, so flagged low-confidence moves should be treated cautiously.
  • Marketplace sections are segmented to avoid cross-stream blending of metrics.
