The Reality Fracture Play Booster Display posted a 5.8054 sell-through in prerelease week. 1,233 units moved while supply contracted -24.20%. The price softened 2.3%, but that’s competitive repricing at prerelease-arrival scale: sellers undercutting each other as physical product lands, not demand retreating. RF as a line claimed $620,827 across 4,548 units, 50.4% of TCGPlayer revenue for the third consecutive week above 50%. Hobbit held second at $245,636. $1,231,403 across 8,532 units and 7,182 orders over 73 products, revenue down -2.4% from $1,262,229, units flat at +0.5%. The mix shifted downmarket: the Collector Booster Display pulled back from $244,990 to $201,055, the Commander Deck Multiverse Reforged normalized from 2,034 to 1,408 units. The average transaction got cheaper even as unit count held.
The LTR Set Booster Box absorbed last week’s restock. Price rebounded $306.87 -> $328.93 (+7.19%), supply contracted -30.74% (avg qty 292.6 -> 202.7), 301 units sold. Seller count edged to 48.7 from 45.0, modest growth, not a second wave. The one-time distributor slug is being digested and the scarcity premium’s rebuilding.
Manapool did $89,408 across 589 units and 452 orders over 38 products. RF drove $55,880 of that across 369 units. The located seller pool dropped to 509 from 539, 74 sellers gone in two weeks (583 -> 509, -12.7%) while revenue stayed above $1.2M each week. On the CK/ZMC front: the union voted to approve the acquisition contract on September 22. No public confirmation that the deal has formally closed as of September 28. Buylist depth and spread measurement starts when it does.

The Hobbit Bundle leads TCGPlayer gainers, but the volume tells you to discount the magnitude. Units fell from 71 to 31 while the price rose, low-volume repricing into a supply contraction. It’s the only Hobbit product that gained this week. The rest of the line softened as post-launch normalization continued.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Commander Deck Turtle Power rose on TCGPlayer while volume dropped 62% and supply grew. That’s low-volume repricing into a volume contraction: the cheapest copies cleared and the price drifted up in the gap. I wouldn’t read anything into the direction without volume confirming the move.

Reality Fracture Collector Booster (loose pack) gained on TCGPlayer as stores crack Collector Booster Displays and list the packs individually. The Display supply fell -36.43% in the same week. The per-pack premium is widening. A third-party singles index (individual card prices, not contents-weighted EV) read ~$96 per Collector pack at prerelease open. Supply contracted -60.40% as product’s moving faster than it’s being listed.

Reality Fracture Secret Lair Bundle gained on TCGPlayer while supply drained -63.18% and sellers halved. Volume fell from 303 to 150, but the remaining supply is vanishing, avg qty from 224.6 to 82.7. At this drain rate the shelf empties within weeks unless new allocation arrives.

The Lord of the Rings Tales of Middle earth Scene Boxes Set of 4 gained on TCGPlayer as supply contracted -25.73%. The Scene Boxes are following the Set Booster Box trajectory: LTR sealed scarcity broadening across the line. Volume fell from 58 to 39, so supply-side thinning is doing the work here.

FINAL FANTASY Commander Deck FINAL FANTASY X Counter Blitz gained on TCGPlayer, the only FF Commander deck that rose this week. Volume dropped sharply from 83 to 45 while the price climbed. The other three FF Commander decks fell. I’d treat this as a rotation trade rather than a fundamental demand shift.
On Manapool, Lorwyn Eclipsed Play Booster Display (Manapool) climbed +12.66% to $129.48 on 3 units, thin tape. Duskmourn House of Horror Play Booster Display (Manapool) gained +8.07% to $197.77 on 5 units as supply drained -64.1%. The Lord of the Rings Tales of Middle earth Commander Deck The Hosts of Mordor (Manapool) rose +7.47% to $120.72 on 3 units. Avatar The Last Airbender Play Booster Display (Manapool) gained +7.35% to $142.83 on 3 units. Modern Horizons 3 Play Booster Pack (Manapool) rose +6.42% to $9.99 on 3 units. All five ran on thin volume (3-5 units each).

Tarkir Dragonstorm Commander Deck Sultai Arisen leads TCGPlayer decliners, and the shelf barely moved. Supply down -2.95%, sellers up +3.21%, the environment didn’t change. No external catalyst surfaced. The deck’s singles EV reads ~$114 against a $76 market price, so this isn’t a value collapse. Hypothesis (unverified): a correction from the prior week’s $95.72 level, which may have been inflated by thin-tape repricing.

Reality Fracture Prerelease Pack dropped on TCGPlayer, and it’s the most predictable move of the week. Supply surged +194.10% (avg qty 135.1 -> 397.2) as prerelease kits arrived en masse, sellers doubled, and the price adjusted to the new depth. The pipeline flagged probable_restock_signal. The sell-through still landed at 1.7372 despite the wave: 690 units cleared on a shelf that tripled. Demand’s absorbing the flood, just at a lower price.

Foundations Commander Deck Calling All Angels is getting the shelf expansion without the velocity on TCGPlayer. Sellers surged +26.42% ahead of the October 2 release, volume nearly doubled (44 -> 82) while the price slid. New sellers entering and competing down. The full Foundations Commander decklists dropped this week and the reprint EV across all five decks is strong, but demand’s concentrating in Tramplesaurus Rex. Angels isn’t where the action is.

Marvel Super Heroes Commander Deck Wakanda Forever gave back last week’s 10.63% gain on TCGPlayer and then some. I flagged that move as low-confidence at the time. Supply grew, sellers grew, volume rose: a supply-side markdown that confirmed it wasn’t a real demand event.

Marvel Super Heroes Prerelease Pack continued the Marvel line’s post-launch softening on TCGPlayer. Supply contracted -5.14% but the price still dropped. Volume grew modestly. At 738.6 avg qty the shelf’s still deep and the price is finding its level through gradual markdown.

FINAL FANTASY Commander Deck FINAL FANTASY VII Limit Break repriced lower on TCGPlayer, but the volume tells a different story than the headline. Units surged +67.4% (43 -> 72) while supply contracted -8.67%. Buyers showed up, but only at a markdown. That’s a demand event that cleared at a lower level.
On Manapool, Reality Fracture Play Booster (Manapool) fell -14.57% to $5.97 on 15 units; the product carries spike_driven_supply (supply +815.6% off a thin base is a data artifact; the price move is low-confidence). The Hobbit Gift Bundle (Manapool) fell -11.16% to $105.05 on 22 units, continuing its post-launch downtrend. Marvels Spider Man Play Booster Display (Manapool) fell -7.62% to $119.74 on 3 units, supply -37.5%. Reality Fracture Draft Night (Manapool) fell -5.66% to $102.06 on 12 units. Edge of Eternities Commander Deck World Shaper (Manapool) fell -5.08% to $51.20 on 4 units.
Supply / Velocity Read-Through
Reality Fracture claimed eight of the ten tightest products on TCGPlayer for the third consecutive week. The Play Booster Display led at 5.8054. Supply contracted -24.20% (avg qty 280.2 -> 212.4) despite 1,233 units moving. Prerelease events started September 25. Both Play and Collector Boosters face partial North American availability delays, and the price split between them widened, but neither premium cleanly isolates demand from supply constraint. The full test comes release week.
The RF Collector Booster Display firmed to $571.18 (+3.52%), revenue $201,055 on 352 units (from 444). Supply contracted -36.43% (avg qty 165.1 -> 105.0). At ~78% above pack-equivalent MSRP, the Collector premium is the widest in the market. With Collector supply also partially delayed in North America, the premium mixes demand with anticipated scarcity.
The RF Draft Night posted a 2.8704 sell-through, 155 units (from 146). Supply contracted -14.54% (avg qty 63.2 -> 54.0). Stores pulling product for prerelease events.
Foundations Commander Deck Tramplesaurus Rex posted a 2.4997 sell-through, 227 units (from 80). Supply contracted -30.70% (avg qty 131.0 -> 90.8). The full Foundations Commander decklists dropped this week: EV is strong across all five decks, and Rex is the standout. Demand concentrated here while the other four FDN Commander decks saw seller expansion with tepid velocity. Release is October 2.
The RF Commander Deck Multiverse Reforged posted a 2.2708 sell-through, 1,408 units (from 2,034). Supply grew +7.72% (avg qty 575.6 -> 620.0). Volume normalized from last week’s 41% repricing event, but the product’s still turning over its shelf more than twice a week. Price held at $69.43 (-0.35%).
The LTR Set Booster Box posted a 1.4852 sell-through on 301 units, the restock from last week continuing to absorb.
The Hobbit line did $245,636 across 981 units on TCGPlayer. The Collector Booster Display generated $164,482 on 229 units at $718.26 (-6.98%), supply flat (+1.99%). The Play Booster Display supply grew +15.76% (avg qty 548.3 -> 634.8) as sellers entered (+14.02%), price fell -5.30% to $158.34. Post-launch normalization continuing: supply expanding, prices softening. The Gift Bundle supply contracted for the second week (avg qty 753.0 -> 642.3, -14.70%), accelerating the contraction from last week.
Lorwyn Eclipsed Collector Booster Pack supply contracted -25.64% (avg qty 136.1 -> 101.2), sellers -18.10%. Eight months post-release, Collector supply is thinning.
The Hobbit Collector Booster Pack supply grew +27.89% (avg qty 337.2 -> 431.3) as opened product hit the shelf.
Star Trek Play Booster Display did 117 units (from 72), supply contracted -23.64% (avg qty 190.2 -> 145.2), sellers expanding. The Beginner Box cancellation (retailer notice Sep 11, public statement Sep 21) removes an entry-level SKU from the November 13 launch.

Kissimmee FL, which held the top city spot last week at 7,065 units, fell off the top. Seattle dropped from 6,545 to 1,592.
Reality Fracture Play Booster (Manapool) carries spike_driven_supply; its supply reading (+815.6%) is a data artifact from a thin starting base. The -14.57% price move may not reflect settled behavior. Reality Fracture Prerelease Pack (TCGPlayer) carries probable_restock_signal on its supply surge (+194.10%); confirmed by the supply surge detailed above.
Opinionated Takeaways
Prerelease confirmed the preorder book
The floor I flagged last week didn’t crack. A 5.81 sell-through in the week physical product first entered hands. Price softened on seller competition while demand multiplied. Three consecutive weeks above 50% market share. Release week introduces full retail supply alongside partial North American availability delays.
Both sides of the RF premium face supply delays
The Collector Display carries a 78% premium over MSRP. The Play Display sits 8% above. Both face partial North American availability delays, so neither premium cleanly separates demand from anticipated scarcity. Release week starts untangling the two as product arrives. We’ll know more by October 5.
Seventy-four sellers vanished in two weeks while revenue stayed flat
The located pool contracted 12.7% while revenue held above $1.2M each week. Three product lines (RF, Hobbit, LTR) drove the vast majority of TCGPlayer for the third consecutive week. Revenue’s concentrating into fewer hands. If you’re not allocated on those lines, your addressable market shrinks every week.
Wizards is stress-testing fulfillment across three product lines
Reality Fracture delays expanded to Mexico (all products) and New Zealand (Prerelease Packs). The Star Trek Beginner Box was canceled worldwide, citing production, logistics, and shipping delays. Secret Lair introduced a print-to-demand model with 9-10 month delayed fulfillment for overflow orders. Three different product-availability disruptions in the same week, across three different product lines. The sealed secondary market is pricing product it isn’t sure it’ll receive on schedule.
What To Watch Next Week
Reality Fracture release week (Oct 2). Full retail product arrives alongside partial North American delays for both Play and Collector. Does the 5.81 sell-through sustain when supply normalizes, or does the prerelease premium compress toward MSRP? Does the Collector/Play price split narrow, widen, or hold?
Foundations Commander launch (Oct 2). Five decks release alongside RF. Tramplesaurus Rex already posted a 2.50 preorder sell-through with supply contracting 30.7%. Does Rex maintain separation from the other four, or does release-day supply flatten the preorder divergence?
LTR floor test at $329. Supply contracted 30.7% and the price rebounded 7.2% since the restock. If no second distributor wave arrives and seller count stays below 50, the scarcity premium rebuilds. If it climbs past 50, more product’s incoming.

Calculation Notes & Disclaimers
- Metrics are based on MTGsold internal sales/listing snapshots for the report window only.
avg qty= average of daily inventory (most complete scrape per day, by seller coverage), not a sum of all intraday listings.sell-through=units sold this week / avg qty this week; values above 1 indicate inventory turned over multiple times.- Percentage changes are week-over-week versus the prior-week baseline; very small baselines can exaggerate % moves.
- Listings are marketplace snapshots and may include relists, temporary removals, and scrape gaps, so flagged low-confidence moves should be treated cautiously.
- Marketplace sections are segmented to avoid cross-stream blending of metrics.
