Revenue fell 15% and something shifted underneath it. TCGPlayer moved $804,360 across 5,040 units and 4,083 orders over 79 products, down from $943,913 and 5,895 units. The drop wasn’t one product cooling. The Hobbit still owned the revenue table (Collector Booster Display at $182,438, Play Booster Display at $108,093), but everything else came in lighter. The seller pool shrank to 544 located sellers, 26 fewer than last week.

Manapool did $53,262 across 388 units and 281 orders over 40 products.

Marvel Super Heroes Scene Box Heroes United leads TCGPlayer gainers on a +15.92% move. Supply didn’t budge (avg qty 401, basically flat) and 28 units on a 401-unit shelf is a 0.07 sell-through. Thin tape, no external catalyst. I’d note the direction and move on.

The Hobbit Scene Box Crack the Plates kept climbing on TCGPlayer after finding its floor two weeks ago. Supply fell another 11.4% to avg qty 67.4 and the price is now $7 above the $53.45 low. Sell-through 0.98, nearly clearing the shelf every week. The sellers who left when margin disappeared haven’t come back, and the remaining supply isn’t growing fast enough to absorb the demand.

Reality Fracture Collector Booster Display gained 10% on TCGPlayer to $533.47, and it did it while supply doubled. Avg qty went from 45.3 to 89.4 (+97.3%) as preorder inventory arrived, and the box still posted a 0.81 sell-through. Five weeks to the October 2 release, spoiler season starting September 8, and WotC just announced that the first wave of Play Boosters may be delayed due to Panama Canal shipping disruptions. Collector Boosters aren’t affected, which makes this box the path of least resistance for buyers who want Reality Fracture sealed at launch. Last week this box had a 1.76 sell-through on a 45-unit shelf. This week the shelf doubled and the demand barely flinched.

Secrets of Strixhaven Commander Deck Prismari Artistry rose on TCGPlayer as the Strixhaven Commander line continues thinning. Supply dropped 9.8%, sellers dropped 16.2%, and 43 units moved at a 0.48 sell-through. Last week the Silverquill deck surged. This week it’s Prismari’s turn. The whole Commander line is compressing, though the broader Strixhaven sealed tightening I flagged last week didn’t confirm on the Codex Bundle side.

Duskmourn House of Horror Play Booster Display climbed on TCGPlayer as supply and sellers both contracted. Avg qty fell 10.3% to 55.5 and the seller pool dropped 12.0%. Sell-through 0.54, half the shelf turning over weekly on a box that’s less than a year old. Duskmourn hasn’t gotten any attention, but the supply side is getting tight.

On Manapool, FINAL FANTASY Play Booster Pack (Manapool) bounced $5.97 to $7.84 (+31.47%) on 25 units, reversing last week’s -21.19% drop. Mean reversion on thin tape, not a trend. Tarkir Dragonstorm Collector Booster Pack (Manapool) rose $42.07 to $53.02 (+26.02%) on 8 units with supply down 30.6%. The Hobbit Scene Box Crack the Plates (Manapool) rose $53.20 to $60.40 (+13.54%) on 12 units, echoing the TCGPlayer gain. Bloomburrow Commander Deck Animated Army (Manapool) rose $71.81 to $78.15 (+8.83%) on 5 units at baseline_small_supply. The Manapool side confirms the TCGPlayer drain but the tape is too thin to add conviction.

Lorwyn Eclipsed Play Booster Display dropped on TCGPlayer to $113.67, but the volume tells a different story. Units tripled from 56 to 148 while the price fell 7.8%. A distributor restock wave pushed avg qty from 493.8 to 717.0 (+45.2%) and 14 new sellers entered. The demand showed up. 148 units and 75 orders is serious volume for a seven-month-old set, and it showed up at a lower clearing price. Sellers competed each other down and the buyers were waiting.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pizza Bundle dipped on TCGPlayer to $82.25 on 31 units. Supply barely moved and sell-through is 0.11. A 294-unit shelf with almost no turnover. The TMNT sealed line outside the Turtle Power Commander deck hasn’t found much demand.

On Manapool, FINAL FANTASY Commander Deck FINAL FANTASY VII Limit Break (Manapool) fell $68.71 to $63.88 (-7.02%) on 3 units. The Hobbit Collector Booster Pack (Manapool) fell $73.25 to $68.79 (-6.09%) on 17 units with supply contracting 26.0%, week 3 normalization on both sides. Reality Fracture Commander Deck Multiverse Reforged (Manapool) fell $58.75 to $55.29 (-5.88%) on 7 units as supply exploded +683% from a baseline_small_supply base of 7.9 avg qty (probable_data_artifact, preorder inventory appearing, not a real supply event). Foundations Play Booster Pack (Manapool) fell $5.51 to $5.19 (-5.76%) on 16 units. The Hobbit Play Booster Display (Manapool) fell $183.53 to $175.31 (-4.48%) on 48 units as the week-3 supply digestion continues.

Supply / Velocity Read-Through

The Hobbit Collector Booster Display gained for a third straight week on TCGPlayer. Supply grew another 34.2% (118.1 to 158.5), and the price still climbed to $840.73. Sell-through 1.37. The shelf is turning over more than once per week despite adding 40 units of avg depth. Three weeks of open-market trading, three weeks of price gains on growing supply. The demand isn’t fading.

The Hobbit Scene Box Treasures of Smaug is still declining on TCGPlayer, but the supply picture flipped. Last week supply grew 7.5% while sellers surged 48%. This week supply contracted 20.2% (120.9 to 96.4) and the price only gave back 2.0%. Sell-through 1.14. The excess sellers are getting absorbed, and the slide is slowing. The Hobbit Collector Booster Pack posted a 0.92 sell-through at avg qty 269.2, supply down 11.8%, steadily normalizing.

The Lost Caverns of Ixalan Commander Deck Explorers of the Deep keeps draining: avg qty 28.9 to 22.1 (-23.5%), sellers 20.1 to 15.7 (-22.2%), sell-through 1.04. No hype, no external catalyst. A non-hype product being absorbed steadily, just like last week.

Reality Fracture preorder supply is building across both marketplaces. The Play Booster Display nearly tripled on TCGPlayer (avg qty 125.6 to 368.4, +193.2%, restock flag fires) and the price still rose 4.3% to $149.64. The Play Booster delay (covered in gainers above) explains the price climbing into a supply tripling: buyers are pricing in reduced launch-week availability. The Collector Booster Display doubled (45.3 to 89.4) and the price climbed 10% to $533, with displaced Play Booster demand likely flowing to the unaffected product. Spoiler season starts September 8 and the story begins today (Aug 31). On Manapool, Reality Fracture preorder inventory is appearing from near-zero bases: Collector Booster Display +875% (6.9 to 66.8, probable_data_artifact), Play Booster Display +85.5%, Commander Deck Multiverse Reforged +683% (probable_data_artifact).

Bloomburrow Commander Deck Animated Army is the tightest Commander deck in the current lineup on TCGPlayer. Supply fell 18.8% (68.3 to 55.5), sellers dropped 25.5% (33.5 to 25.0), and sell-through hit 0.88 on 49 units. Commander format demand is pulling this specific product off shelves faster than the rest of the Bloomburrow line. The Manapool side shows the same drain at baseline_small_supply (8.3 avg qty, 5 units).

Star Trek Collector Booster Display continued draining: avg qty 61.2 to 51.0 (-16.8%), sellers 9.3 to 7.3 (-21.4%), sell-through 0.57. The VWAP hasn’t budged from $699, but the shelf is getting thin — 51 units with 7 sellers, 10 weeks to the November 13 release. Supply has dropped two consecutive weeks (-29.6% last week, -16.8% this week).

LotR Scene Boxes Set of 4 posted a 1.00 sell-through at avg qty 55.0, supply flat. The price dipped 5.0% to $226.94.

Heaviest inventory on TCGPlayer: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Prerelease Pack at 796.1 avg qty, Marvel Super Heroes Prerelease Pack (774.9), Lorwyn Eclipsed Play Booster Display (717.0, up 45.2% from a distributor restock), Marvel Super Heroes Play Booster Display (528.4), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Play Booster Display (495.4), Avatar The Last Airbender Play Booster Display (471.9), Secrets of Strixhaven Codex Bundle (408.0), Marvel Super Heroes Scene Box Heroes United (401.0). The UB franchise sets continue carrying the heaviest shelves.

Coverage ran 100.0% across 544 located sellers, down from 570 last week, 26 fewer. Florida took the top spot at 9.5% of located supply (9,774 units), displacing Washington which dropped to 9.4% (9,704). California third at 8.6% (8,898), Arizona 6.0% (6,179), New York 5.0% (5,176), Oregon 3.9% (3,981), Texas 3.9% (3,977), Ohio 3.6% (3,712), Indiana 3.4% (3,540), Georgia 3.4% (3,505). Top cities: Seattle 6,578, Quebec 3,128, Tucson 3,043, Bayamón 2,800, Liberty IN 2,594.

Reality Fracture Commander Deck Multiverse Reforged (Manapool) and Reality Fracture Collector Booster Display (Manapool) carry baseline_small_supply and probable_data_artifact flags. Both jumped from single-digit avg qty to 60+ as preorder inventory appeared from near-zero Manapool bases. Treat their supply-delta percentages as artifacts of the small denominator, not real shelf events. Bloomburrow Commander Deck Animated Army (Manapool) carries baseline_small_supply at 8.3 avg qty. The TCGPlayer-side drain is the reliable signal.

Opinionated Takeaways

The Hobbit Collector Display Won’t Come Down

Three weeks. Three price gains. Supply grew 34% this week and the box still climbed. Whatever gravity pulls the rest of a new set toward MSRP isn’t pulling here. The demand is absorbing supply faster than the market can build it.

Reality Fracture Has Two Tailwinds Now

Supply tripled on the Play Booster Display. Doubled on the Collector. Both prices climbed. Spoiler season starts September 8, and WotC just warned of a Play Booster delay from Panama Canal shipping. The preorder book is still accelerating, now into a scarcity catalyst.

Lorwyn Found Its Clearing Price

A distributor restock pushed avg qty from 494 to 717 and the price dropped 7.8%. Volume tripled. That’s the market saying: at $114, we’ll buy. Seven months post-release, the demand was always there — it was waiting for the price to come to it.

Animated Army Is the Quiet Commander Drain

A quarter of the sellers left. Supply fell 19%. Sell-through 0.88. The Manapool side confirms it on thinner tape. Commander format demand is pulling this one off shelves while the rest of the Bloomburrow line sits.

What To Watch Next Week

1

Hobbit Gift Bundle September 4 launch. Last week I said supply had doubled and asked whether demand absorbs or the price keeps falling toward MSRP ($89.99). This week the product fell below the tracking threshold entirely. The official launch should clarify whether it stabilizes or continues unwinding.

2

Reality Fracture spoiler season begins September 8, with the Play Booster delay now confirmed. This week the preorder book accelerated even after supply tripled. The delay gives Collector Boosters a structural advantage at launch. Whether displaced Play Booster demand shifts to Collector in a visible way, and whether spoiler reveals push the Collector Display past $550.

3

Strixhaven sealed: does the tightening resume? The Codex Bundle supply bounced back this week after last week’s 18% drop, so the structural tightening thesis is unconfirmed. WotC announced production delays for Secrets of Strixhaven Commander decks. Whether next week shows renewed compression or continued normalization will tell us if the constraint is real.

Calculation Notes & Disclaimers

  • Metrics are based on MTGsold internal sales/listing snapshots for the report window only.
  • avg qty = average of daily inventory (most complete scrape per day, by seller coverage), not a sum of all intraday listings.
  • sell-through = units sold this week / avg qty this week; values above 1 indicate inventory turned over multiple times.
  • Percentage changes are week-over-week versus the prior-week baseline; very small baselines can exaggerate % moves.
  • Listings are marketplace snapshots and may include relists, temporary removals, and scrape gaps, so flagged low-confidence moves should be treated cautiously.
  • Marketplace sections are segmented to avoid cross-stream blending of metrics.
