Patrick Stewart died this week. He signed the Captain Jean-Luc Picard headliner card in Star Trek, one of seven signed cards Wizards printed fewer than 250 copies of, found only in Collector Boosters. At 4 PM ET on Oct 29, buying broke across every Star Trek product on TCGPlayer at once. The Star Trek Collector Booster Display sold 288 boxes in that hour and 567 by the end of the day, across 397 separate sales, none bigger than 10 boxes.
What surprised me is where the price ended up. The box didn’t go to a new high. Sellers had spent Oct 26–28 marking it down, the median ask falling from $545.80 to $502.74 while the shelf built to 653 boxes. The Oct 29 buying took that whole cheap tier. On Oct 30 the low ask was $572.98, and The Gaming Company had moved its 167 boxes from $483.99 to $584.99. That’s above where asks were before the cuts, but it’s still under the $604.85 the box averaged in the Oct 12–18 report, so the buying undid the markdown without setting a new high. The week’s $526.13 average (-6.90%) mostly tells you the cheap boxes were the ones that sold.
How we count totals now. Starting this week, the TCGPlayer and Manapool totals count every sale we track. Until now, our weekly totals only included products that sold at least 20 units in both that week and the week before, which left out a lot of smaller and newer products. That makes this week’s number look like a bigger jump than it is, so here’s the fair comparison: Oct 12–18 comes to $1,256,813 counted the new way, against the $755,618 we reported then. Product-level numbers aren’t affected.
TCGPlayer did $2,120,250.68 across 15,425 units and 11,503 orders, revenue +47.49% on $1,437,520.66 and units +24.32%. Oct 29 alone was $599,794.66, 28.3% of the week. Star Trek, set and Commander decks together, went from 25.3% to 45.9% of revenue, $973,030.61 on 5,104 units, and the Collector Display by itself was $523,501.90, a quarter of the week on one product. Reality Fracture slipped from 13.7% to 11.5% at $244,077.21, and The Hobbit went from 6.2% to 6.0%.
We skipped Oct 19–25, when TCGPlayer did $1,437,520.66 on 12,407 units, up 14.38% on Oct 12–18, and Star Trek’s share went from 8.4% to 25.3% the week its debut and Wizards’ collecting guide landed on Oct 20. Hasbro reported Magic up 34% and over $600 million in a quarter for the first time, and raised its full-year revenue guide to 7–9% growth from 5–7%; the full read is in our Q3 editorial.
Manapool did $160,179.02 across 1,247 units and 837 orders, up 39.69% on $114,665.16, with Star Trek $58,874.44 of it on 254 units. The Star Trek Collector Booster Display (Manapool) went from 29 sales to 70 at $509.93, from $543.94, the same shape as TCGPlayer’s week.

Universes Beyond Fallout Scrappy Survivors Commander Deck leads TCGPlayer gainers, and the loose Fallout decks I called flat in the Oct 12–18 report are now the top three. Scrappy Survivors sold 41, from 55, on a shelf that lost nine sellers. Fewer decks, fewer buyers and higher asks is a shelf thinning out, and I’d read the price that way.

Universes Beyond Fallout Science Commander Deck made the same move on 31 sales and a slightly shorter shelf. Thirty-one sales is a thin base, so I’d take the direction from the group and not from this one deck.

Universes Beyond Fallout Hail Caesar Commander Deck is the one that turned around. Two weeks ago it was the only loose Fallout deck still being marked down, -10.86% to $66.78. This week it’s back to $68.58 on 41 sales, from 64, with about seven fewer sellers. The Universes Beyond Fallout Commander Deck Case is still easing, $262.94 -> $256.08 (-2.61%) on 40 sales, but the single decks around it have stopped falling.

Marvel Super Heroes Commander Deck The Fantastic Four is up a third week in a row, $35.62 -> $36.48 -> $39.04, on 24 sales and a shelf that barely moved. It’s a small, steady climb, and 24 sales can’t tell me much more than that. No catalyst found.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Play Booster Display rose on 66 sales and a slightly shorter shelf. With 566.7 boxes listed and a sell-through of 0.1165, nothing about this shelf is tight, so I’d treat the price as drift on a big shelf until the volume says otherwise.

Marvel Super Heroes Commander Deck Avengers Assemble rose on 25 sales while its shelf grew a little. That’s a thin move with no catalyst I could find.
On Manapool, Unfinity Draft Booster Pack (Manapool) went $5.36 -> $6.50 (+21.18%) on 8 units in one order; Duskmourn House of Horror Play Booster Pack (Manapool) $6.21 -> $7.50 (+20.76%) on 14 units in 3 orders; Edge of Eternities Play Booster Pack (Manapool) $5.99 -> $6.70 (+11.89%) on 29 units in 5 orders; FINAL FANTASY Commander Deck FINAL FANTASY XIV Scions and Spellcraft (Manapool) $51.29 -> $57.25 (+11.63%) on 6 units; and Aetherdrift Commander Deck Living Energy (Manapool) $25.32 -> $27.34 (+8.00%) on 6 units in 2 orders. Each of these rests on six orders or fewer, so treat them as low confidence.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Commander Deck Turtle Power leads TCGPlayer decliners because of one cart. On the evening of Oct 27, someone bought 95 decks at $37.99, and four more went at $27.00 the same night. That’s 95 of the week’s 226 sales in a single order, and it dragged the average down to $41.95. The shelf behind it didn’t get marked down: the close went from 593 to 503 the next day, and the median ask rose from $60.00 to $65.00 by Sunday.

Last time I asked whether release stock would refill the 43-copy Reality Fracture Secret Lair Bundle shelf and pull the $168.98 low ask toward $89.99. Wizards posted on Oct 19 that the bundle was delayed globally, and the stock reached TCGPlayer on Oct 26–28, when 93 copies from 15 sellers became 254 from 78. The price came down to $145.34 and buyers took 261, which still leaves it 61.5% over sticker. Two weeks ago the price swung on one shop’s stock. This time 78 sellers set it, and the premium held. The US orders from Wizards’ own Chaos Vault sale on Oct 26 don’t start shipping until Nov 19, so there’s another wave of owners still to come.

Star Trek Commander Deck Landing Party sold 202, from 21. Sellers met the demand with more listings, the close going from 367 boxes to 521, and with lower asks. Price down on ten times the volume is sellers clearing preorders, and buyers took them.

Last time I asked whether the Reality Fracture Collector Booster Display would break its $416.99 low ask. It did, and Sunday’s low was $357.00. Sales doubled to 347, but one order on the evening of Oct 30 took 72 boxes at $349.99, a fifth of the week, and the same day had a 12-box and two 6-box orders at about the same price. It’s now 14.1% over its $323.88 pack-equivalent, from 29.9%, with 100 sellers listing it.
On Manapool, Reality Fracture Bundle (Manapool) went $48.73 -> $40.56 (-16.75%) on 15 units in 6 orders with listings flat at 170.4, below the TCGPlayer copy’s $44.08; Universes Beyond Fallout Science Commander Deck (Manapool) fell $44.65 -> $38.11 (-14.65%) on 6 units with listings 75.4 -> 56.9, the opposite direction from its TCGPlayer copy; Reality Fracture Secret Lair Bundle (Manapool) went $152.46 -> $138.36 (-9.25%) on 21 units with listings 114.1 -> 105.6, the bigger of the two venues’ shelves until TCGPlayer’s refilled; Reality Fracture Collector Booster Display (Manapool) went $429.66 -> $393.49 (-8.42%) on 23 units with listings 103.0 -> 122.3; and The Hobbit Collector Booster Display (Manapool) went $660.70 -> $615.04 (-6.91%) on 5 units in 3 orders. The Star Trek shelves built the same way they did on TCGPlayer: Star Trek Play Booster Display (Manapool) listings 399.3 -> 525.1 with 55 sold at $124.50, Star Trek Beam Me Up Bundle (Manapool) 70.3 -> 91.6, and Star Trek Draft Night (Manapool) 72.9 -> 111.6. FINAL FANTASY Play Booster Display (Manapool) listings fell 31.0 -> 17.3 (-44.24%) with 9 sold at $271.41, and Universes Beyond Fallout Mutant Menace Commander Deck (Manapool) listings fell 50.7 -> 34.4. Most of these rest on fewer than 25 sales, so they’re low confidence.
Supply / Velocity Read-Through
Star Trek split in two on TCGPlayer. The Star Trek Collector Booster Display sold 995 boxes and ended with a thinner shelf, 411 boxes and 37 sellers at Sunday’s close, down from 653 and 62 on Oct 28. Its $526.13 average sits 15.4% over the $455.88 pack-equivalent, and Oct 30’s median ask was 28.3% over. The Star Trek Play Booster Display sold 926, from 544, and still had more listed at the end of the week than at the start: avg qty 586.6 -> 783.2 (+33.52%), with the close at 570 on Oct 25, 890 on Oct 27 and 683 on Sunday. At $125.67 (-5.70%) it’s 40.1% under its $209.70 pack-equivalent, from 36.5% under. Both got the same Oct 29 rush, and only the Collector shelf emptied and repriced.
Star Trek Commander turned into a preorder market for decks that are still due after release in North America, and buyers didn’t wait. The Star Trek Commander Deck Case sold 354, from 32, at $227.74 (-20.83%). Star Trek Commander Deck We Are the Borg sold 480, from 80, at $71.60 while its average seller count fell from 30.1 to 23.4. Star Trek Commander Deck We Are the Borg Collectors Edition is the one that ran short, 70 sold at a flat $203.82 and a sell-through of 2.2720. The Star Trek Commander Deck Case Collectors Edition came in ninth in TCGPlayer revenue at $34,104.78 on 57 sales, with no prior week to compare against.
Around them, the Star Trek Collector Booster Pack shelf grew to an average of 408.6 listings (+54.31%) with 146 sold at $61.35 (-2.95%). The Star Trek Prerelease Pack held at $37.51 (-3.15%) on 392 sales, a week before Nov 6 prerelease events, while its seller count fell from 14.6 to 10.5. It was $61.15 two weeks ago.
I was wrong about Foundations Commander Deck Tramplesaurus Rex. In the Oct 12–18 report I said it had the most room to give back once the refilled shelf caught up. It went $60.90 -> $58.17 -> $60.25 across the three weeks, sells through at 2.0456 on a shelf flat at 61.1, and sits at double its $29.99 sticker. Foundations Commander Deck Calling All Angels and Foundations Commander Deck Reign of Dragons did ease, to $47.08 and $47.30.
Older shelves thinned without the price following. The Universes Beyond The Lord of the Rings Tales of Middle earth Set Booster Box lost a quarter of its listings, avg qty 281.1 -> 206.9 (-26.40%), and sold 95 at $289.21, after $297.67 and $289.93 the two weeks before. The FINAL FANTASY Play Booster Display lost listings and sellers too, avg qty 106.3 -> 79.1 (-25.60%), and sold 63 at $256.72 (+1.22%).

Tightest inventory on TCGPlayer: Star Trek Commander Deck We Are the Borg Collectors Edition (2.2720, avg qty 30.8), Foundations Commander Deck Tramplesaurus Rex (2.0456, 61.1), Star Trek Collector Booster Display (1.8763, 530.3), Star Trek Commander Deck We Are the Borg (1.6302, 294.4), Reality Fracture Secret Lair Bundle (1.1967, 218.1), Star Trek Play Booster Display (1.1823, 783.2), Reality Fracture Collector Booster Display (1.1347, 305.8), Foundations Commander Deck Calling All Angels (1.1195, 83.1) and Star Trek Prerelease Pack (1.0699, 366.4). Nine products above 1, from four in the Oct 12–18 report, and five of them are Star Trek.
Heaviest inventory on TCGPlayer: Marvel Super Heroes Play Booster Display (920.3 avg qty, from 945.8, sell-through 0.1413), Marvel Super Heroes Prerelease Pack (787.3), Star Trek Play Booster Display (783.2, from 586.6), Lorwyn Eclipsed Play Booster Display (722.8), The Hobbit Gift Bundle (693.9), Marvel Super Heroes Bundle (682.2), The Hobbit Play Booster Display (661.0), Marvels Spider Man Play Booster Display (626.9), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Play Booster Display (566.7), Star Trek Bundle (550.0), Reality Fracture Play Booster Display (540.1, from 464.9) and Star Trek Commander Deck Case (537.5). The Star Trek Play Display is now the third-heaviest shelf on TCGPlayer, two weeks before release.
From this report on, geography covers the top-10 listers of every product we track, so these shares don’t line up with past reports. Against Oct 19–25 on the same basis, we located 2,170 top sellers, from 2,181, with 100.0% coverage. California holds 13.8% of listed quantity (from 13.2%), Washington 12.7% (12.5%), New York 7.6% (7.0%), Florida 6.1% (6.3%), Texas 3.8% (3.3%), Oregon 3.6% (3.5%), Minnesota 3.2% (from 5.4%) and Ontario 3.0%. Seattle leads the cities by a wide margin, ahead of Yorba Linda CA, Woodbury MN, Kissimmee FL and Topeka KS. Woodbury’s listed quantity roughly halved, 29,355 -> 16,029, the only big move in the top ten.
Totals count every sale we track on each marketplace. Gainers and decliners only include products with at least 20 sales on TCGPlayer, or 3 on Manapool, in both weeks, so no week-over-week percentage here rests on a handful of sales. Manapool sales since Oct 16 carry a date but no time of day; they’re counted on their own day, so daily totals hold, but we can’t place them within the day. Star Trek Commander Deck Case listing data covers two of seven days this week and none last week, so its supply figures are low confidence, while its sales numbers are complete. The Reality Fracture Secret Lair Bundle is missing Oct 27 listings, and the LTR Set Booster Box prior-week average uses five of seven days. The Turtle Power and Reality Fracture Collector Display moves each rest on one large order, while the Oct 29 Star Trek Collector volume is 397 separate sales, none over 10 boxes. A $15.00 Secret Lair Bundle listing, one copy from one seller, is left out. Day- and hour-level figures come straight from our sales and listing snapshots.
Opinionated Takeaways
The news took back the markdown
The Oct 29 buying ended the Star Trek Collector Booster Display’s discount. If you were waiting for a $480 box, the sellers who listed them sold out that afternoon, and nobody has relisted at that price since.
Two Star Trek markets
The Star Trek Collector and Play Booster Displays trade like two different products now. If you’re stocking Play for release, there’s no rush. The Collector shelf has already emptied once.
Paying now for decks that ship later
Star Trek Commander buyers aren’t waiting for a ship date, and sellers are meeting them with supply. Unless you want the Borg Collectors Edition, I’d let the asks keep coming down to you.
I was wrong about Rex
Tramplesaurus Rex held while the rest of the refilled Foundations Commander line gave back a little, and I’d stop expecting the refill to pull it down.
What To Watch Next Week
Prerelease weekend, Nov 6. Does the Star Trek Collector Booster Display hold its $564.70 low ask now that the cheap tier is gone, and does the Star Trek Commander Deck Case keep selling with no North American ship date?
Set Phasers to Superdrop, Nov 9. Wizards’ Star Trek Secret Lair drops go on sale at MagicSecretLair.com four days before the Nov 13 release, at $29.99 non-foil and $39.99 foil, with a foil promo for every $199.99 spent. Does release-week money move away from sealed, and does the Star Trek Play Booster Display shelf, 683 boxes at Sunday’s close, finally start shrinking?
Reality Fracture after the refill. Does the Secret Lair Bundle hold near $145 with 254 copies listed and the Chaos Vault orders shipping from Nov 19, and does the Collector Booster Display hold $357 without another 72-box buyer?

Calculation Notes & Disclaimers
- Metrics are based on MTGsold internal sales/listing snapshots for the report window only.
avg qty= average of daily inventory (most complete scrape per day, by seller coverage), not a sum of all intraday listings.sell-through=units sold this week / avg qty this week; values above 1 indicate inventory turned over multiple times.- Percentage changes are week-over-week versus the prior-week baseline; very small baselines can exaggerate % moves.
- Listings are marketplace snapshots and may include relists, temporary removals, and scrape gaps, so flagged low-confidence moves should be treated cautiously.
- Marketplace sections are segmented to avoid cross-stream blending of metrics.
